The Ardjuna Boutique Hotel & Spa
by: Emma Kwee

Hotel Ardjuna is located on Jalan Ciumbuleuit, in the North of Bandung. Being a 4 star establishment, one would expect certain facilities. The Ardjuna however, takes it a step further. Instead of offering the standard range of features, this hotel has used creativity to come up with some original and stylish amenities. One of them is the well equipped Ardjuna Cellar that has a huge array of wines from every corner of the world, set in a stylish lounge. Here the wine can be tasted upon request accompanied by a pianist.

Then there is the Munar Spa, one of the most beautifully decorated spa's we have ever laid eyes upon. Serenity and peace of mind comes naturally upon entering this haven adorned with fountains, marble floors and soothing music. The spa is renowned for its foot reflexology and Swedish massage. There are two reflexology chairs as well as massage rooms for singles and doubles.

The Ardjuna Club is another feature that takes the sense of luxury into account. There are no less than 17 fully equipped karaoke rooms, with modern d├ęcor, comfortable couches and private bath room. A presidential karaoke room is the king of the hill, and has space for some 40 guests. Three big screen TV's will provide you with the opportunity to sing different tunes at the same time, so no more quarrelling about what song to sing. This room is also suitable for private parties or press conferences.

The Executive music room does actually often fulfill the role of waiting room, for those queuing for the karaoke rooms. Waiting has never been so enjoyable in this stylish red and black, marble marvel of a space. The Private Room is the club of the hotel, as all other spaces in this hotel is decorated in style. An elevated DJ booth, a central bar and several VIP rooms are sure to bring class into your wild nights.

The Pepirooz Poolside dining Resto is a two level restaurant, with haute cuisine in a comfortable setting. The big outside swimming pool, a small children's playground and pool are flanked by two Bale Benong (Dreaming Gazeboes) for lounging and relaxing.

After all these facilities, you would almost forget that The Ardjuna is an actual hotel with 77 rooms. The rooms are divided over 7 floors and come in four categories: Deluxe, Deluxe balcony, Junior Suite and Royal Suite. All rooms have a/c, hot water, bath tub, mini bar, satellite TV, tea and coffee making facilities, safe deposit box, telephone and 24 hour room service. The rooms at the back of the hotel offer views of the hills, while the balcony rooms overlook the swimming pool.

The Ardjuna is a luxurious boutique hotel that is truly one of a kind. The facilities offered are original and stylish while the in room facilities are lavish. This is definitely one of the best places to stay in Bandung , both in character and amenities.
