Dim Sum Festival
by: Dina Indrasafitri

Feeling a little peckish after a wild night of grooving in a local club? That is quite a common phenomenon for the party people and “night birds”. However, finding the right place to satisfy your late-night hunger pangs might be a little tricky. Some roadside stalls are indeed open to serve local food, but you're not really in the mood to take the risk of a stomachache or disagreeable tastes. It had been a great night and you don't feel like ruining it.

No need to panic because all you have to do is take a ride down to the Kemang street in south Jakarta – that is probably where you will be partying considering the number of bars and clubs in the area. Just around the street corner, you'll find Kemang's Dim Sum Festival. The place is quite eye-catching because of its attractive decorations using chasing lights, so there's less chance that you'll miss the location. This is the place to be if you are to enjoy popular Asian cuisines 24 hours a day. One well-known habit of the partygoers in Jakarta is to say, ‘see you at the dim sum fest' at the club, because it is truly an ideal meeting spot.

The Kemang Dim Sum Festival is quite a pretty sight. The blue-lighted aquariums and the multi-colored fishes swimming inside them liven up the place. Wooden benches and tables create a laid back, natural feel to the place. With a tent overhead sheltering you from the sun and rain, it is almost al fresco dining under the stars.

The menu consists of Chinese food with a wide range of selection for dim sum, from the favourite Ha Kau to the Indonesian Shiau Mai. In addition, one can also choose from the range of main dishes such as Cantonese-style fried rice or seafood noodles. The portions are quite generous and the staffs serving them are always friendly and alert. Best of all, the food is guaranteed to be halal and clean.

At Kemang Dim Sum Festival, the hip interiors and variety of food makes it “the place to be seen”. So get close and personal as you hangout with your friends at Kemang Dim Sum festival for a jolly good time, good food, and great companion while dining in style!

Address : Dim Sum Festival,
Jalan H. Abdul Madjid No. 5A, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta
