Golf in and around Jakarta is an experience!
by: Jakarta City Government Tourism Office

As the capital city of Indonesia, one can find mostly anything in Jakarta. Located on the north shore of the island of Java, on a low coastal plain with warm and hot climate most of the year. The easy access in and around the city with high speed toll roads will bring some of the best golf courses in the Asia-Pacific region just a door step away.

The variety of amazing courses lie for you to experience. A true paradise for golfers.

  • To the east are the Cikarang and Karawang courses.
  • To the west are the imperial and Modern courses.
  • The famous Emeralda, Riverside, the superb Jagorowi, Sentul courses and the majestic Bogor Raya course on the south side of Jakarta await to be explored.

Amazingly, some of the golf courses were designed by top notch golfers, such as Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Greg Norman, Graham Marsh, Thomson, Wolveridge and others, but mostly still remain undiscovered. The courses represent some of the most beautiful, challenging and exciting layouts of any courses to be found in Asia and have superb hospitality, services and the facilities that will make your round of gold highly enjoyable and all at a reasonable price.

On top of the list, you will find the Emeralda course, with its 27 fantastic holes of which 18 were designed by Arnold Palmer and the other 9 by Jack Nicklaus. If that is not fascinating enough, the natural landscape and riverside was perfected by Greg Norman for your ultimate golfing challenge - not for the fainthearted. Next is The Jagorawi course, a stunning golf course filled with 45 holes of spectacular jungle and rice fields. For a relaxed garden setting you can enjoy the Graham Marsh designed, The Bogor Raya course.
